De Sjoemelmert: here you'll find everything

The Sjoemelmert has a special formula. It is an annual market, fair, flea market, hobby market, art market and charity bazaar all in one. Tens of thousands of people descend on this convivial market every year. About 215 stalls make up a kilometre-long row of bargains and food surrounded by the most beautiful buildings Roermond has to offer. The Sjoemelmert is one of Central Limburg's biggest attractions.

When is the Sjoemelmert?

The Sjoemelmert falls annually on the last Wednesday and Thursday of July. The shops in the centre of Roermond are open during the Sjoemelmert from 10am to 6pm on Wednesdays and from 10am to 9pm on Thursdays. Afterwards, the cafés will stay lively for a long time, with live performances throughout the city centre. Also don't miss the book market in the Minderbroederskerk and the Record Fair on Graaf Gerardstraat.
